LAMBO’S LAST V12 HURRAH
Lamborghini has unveiled their newest pair of one-off super sports cars. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will be unveiling the successor to the Aventador (finally) so what better way to end the era of powerhouse naturally aspirated v-12s than paying homage to vehicles that have set Lamborghini as a leader in the automotive world.
The Lamborghini Invencible, and the Lamborghini Autentica. The translation of these words from Italian to English should be obvious, meaning “invincible” and “authentic”, qualities that act as the thread sewn through Lamborghini’s design history.
Both vehicles are mounted on the same carbon fiber chassis as the Aventador, powered by a 6.5-liter 12-cylinder engine good for 769 horses and 531 pound-feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual, identical to the Ultimae.
On paper it seems like just another Aventador, but where it really stands out is in the bodywork. Lamborghini Centro Stile recalled their past works when designing the ultimate farewell to their non-hybridized engine.
One has to wonder, however, is this truly the end or is there another one just around the corner. Personally, I wouldn’t mind the latter.
